Cervus Cepturum Busuioacă de Bohotin rose demidulce (Romania): the aromatic rosé to conquer the West

Busuioacă de Bohotin (Bohotin basil) is a western Moldova typical variety and indigenous to the D.O.C Bohotin. This variety is aromatic as well as the Muscat Ottonel and the Romanian Muscat (Tămâioasă Românească for friends). In fact there is a hypothesis that both the Tămâioasă and the Busuioacă were brought by the ancient Greeks. Here the aromatic is so protagonist that the wine does not even have a vintage.

Visually an orange-pink color showing an evolution without a doubt, could it be vintage 2018? Its depth is surprising on the nose and its strong reminder of the aromatic Muscat: grape must, white flower, orange blossom and pink peach. Off-dry entry on the palate. Light and feminine development with 13.5% alcohol that is not noticeable. A short finish that evokes white stone fruit and spring flower from the fields of Bohotin notes.

Crama Ceptura is the winery that produces this rosé. A rosé that has all the elements to seduce that special woman that we all know. A very Romanian price of 5'50 euros / 12'69 leis only. A very versatile wine but that will shine above all based on fruit desserts such as a Cheesecake stuffed strawberries (you only need three simple ingredients to make this yummy cheesecake filling!)
