Located between Montpellier and Toulouse, in the North West of Hérault province, in the heart of the Haut Languedoc Regional Natural Park, your Minervois destination is the ideal place to taste the AOP Minervois powerful red wines or group visits. The Khalkhal family awaits you in Vilanove to try all the cuvées from their winery, the one we liked the most: Loriza.
An 80% Syrah - 1o% Garnacha
- 1o% Cariñena (recently added for piut a piece of freshness) of medium opacity, disc still young telling we are in a recent millésime.
Aromatic nose around ripe black fruits, flowers and truffle. It
undoubtedly keeps the 'Causse' style. A very round and wide
entrance. Fleshy development (14% vol.) typical of aragonese Garnacha, intense and with good
volume typical of persian Shiraz. The mouth-aromas mix forest fruit in liquor hints with
a spicy touch.
Danielle and David offer us a value of 13
euros for this Northern Minervois worked without sulphites and with
respect for the environment. The service at 13'4º C is the most
indicated. When we talk about pairing, we must think in the lamb.
First pair with a Roasted rack of Occitanian lamb with niçoise
style ratatouille. Why not a delicious Lamb (Assaf race)
shank, sweet garlic sauce ??
