Adega Cooperativa de Vermelha is founded
in 1962 and
located in the Estremadura
wine region (aka Lisboa
Vinho Regional). This
reference comes from the white varieties
Seara
Nova, Arinto and
Malvasía. Arinto for the freshness, Malvasia for aromatic and hybrid S.N for put the typicity.
2012 vintage: Visually a yellow lemon colour. Nose for herall
and oaky hints (3 months being vinified
in French and American oak barrels with
'battonage' included). A weet, tasty,
lightand easy to drink mouthfeel. There
are tertiary, minerals and spices notes for this good complexity. Spicy and warmth finish with
13% of alcohol integrated cause we are in a warm area.
Good
relationship quality / price (2'99
€)
given that it is a white wine aged in oak. For sale in E. Leclerc
supermarkets. I
recommend Mundus Escolha with a fresh pasta and cream sauce, mushroom
risotto or Chicken breast with mustard sauce. In my next travel to Portugal I tasted other interesting white wines like Aveleda Alvarinho 2015 coming from Minho Regional Wine Region.
