LePlan-Vermeersch cuvée GT-Grenache (AOC Côtes du Rhône Villages Suze-la-Rousse)

In its southern part, the Rhône river forms a set of terraces and alluvial plains embedded in mild hills that are the ideal environment for red Grenache and also for black truffles in the Suze la Rousse village area. Dirk Vermeersch (an belgian ex-rally driver) awaits you in that village, a true champion vinifying sunny Grenache.

A dark color resulting from a good extraction, with a glyceric tear of 15% vol. that reminds us of its Southern origin. A fairly concentrated nose, with ink and graphite on very ripe fruit background hints. A round entry in the mouth, with a powerful development, with a dense substance even after being aged for 12 months. Mouth-aromas of fruit at its point of maturity with a spicy touch finished by very long ending eclipsing its warm side.

This blog has already talked about its white 1oo% Viognier, a delight for lovers of wine with character (the winery's hallmark) and worked with low yields. This GT-Grenache cuvée is valued at 17 euros and will pair with roast and grilled meats. Like for example a Grilled rosemary lamb chops, oregano olive oil, sarladaise potatoes, vegetables of the moment.
