Château Grand Baril 2010 (AOC Montagne-Saint-Émilion)

The Lycée Viticole de Libourne-Montagne takes care of the vineyards of Château Grand Baril, which are made up of loamy, clayey and sandy soils. In this case from sandy-loamy soils. Harvested by hand, after safe sorting, then alcoholic and malolactic fermentation in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats and finally aging in oak barrels.

A dark red color, powerful aromas of black fruits with woody nuances (due to 12 months of aging) in great balance. After are flowers and spices that arrive. A smoky and fruity entry (65% Merlot, 20% Cabernet Sauvignon, 15% Cabernet Franc). The sequel has a well-controlled acidity and a very long lingering finish. A frank, round and well-structured wine.

I reommend a temperature service of 13º C. To keep for 5 to 7 years and to open with good roast meats, traditional cuisine, lamb, beef... Hearty and heavy dishes that will make Château Grand Baril 2010 a great option for a rather serious meal. Serve between 17º and 18º C.
