Jérôme Arnoux cuvée Friandises 2020 (AOC Arbois)

Arbois appellation is one of six AOC's located in the Jura province, near the France-Switzerland border. The AOC Arbois is the only with AOC Côtes du Jura that can vinify in white, rosé, red, straw and wine Jaune (the regional speciality). The Arbois appellation's red wines account for 50% of its production and include native varieties such as Poulsard or Trousseau. In this cuvée Friandises, both are combined with Pinot Noir to give a very nice red for any occasion.

A light color, the result of a delicate extraction and that we perceive after opening the bottle two years after its harvest. A nose that asks for time to express itself... even so, there is a delicious register of red fruits in its bush, earthy, leaf litter, undergrowth notes, in short, a walk through the mountain forests in Arbois. In mouth, a slightly rounded entry. A silky development and a light structure that makes it very feminine and easy to drink. Fruit is omnipresent. The freshness is guaranteed from start to finish and its spicy finish gives it a fun persistence.

Jérôme Arnaux will receive you in the same village of Arbois to taste the wines of a project born in 2015. And only five years later we already find very drinkable wines, amazing and with fruit at all the time. This cuvée is valued at around 17 euros and will match very well all the cheeses that Savoie offers us, whether they are cow or cow-goat mixtures. The acidity of recent vintages will defat like God cheeses like Chevrotin, Reblonchon or Beaufort.
