Kamptal
wine-region is located
between Vienna, the Kamp river and the austrian mountains. This
vineyard surrounds the village of Langenlois and fills the hills,
which affects the quality of its wines. Grüner Veltliner is the
undisputed king, and the queen the Riesling, but this time the GV is
the monocépage
left from the Weingut
Bründlmayer cellar
terraces.
Pale
yellow color, very bright with greenish reflections and small
bubbles.
A complex nose: citrus,
herbaceous first. After notes of grapefruit, young apricot and
freshly cutted grass. Entry
in open mouth, with a freshness present with notes of citrus, white
fruit of bone that puts the roundness.
Long finish with a pleasant
bitterness that brings persistence. 17 €.
The
vineyard of Lower
Austria
is not the only one in this wine country. If you continue to the
southeast do not forget to visit wine-growing areas such as
Burgenland, Vienna or Styrie. When
qualifying quality, both Austria and Germany take into account the
amount of residual sugars. A trocken is not the same as an Auslese or
a Spatlese ... the top wine is the famous TBA but the great ice wine
is a must for the wine-lovers.
