Château Rosan cuvée rosé Evidence 2022 (AOC Côtes de Provence): 5 varieties to make evident the marine elegance

The Pignans terroir is as beautiful in the vines as it is at the roots. The subsoil is indeed of complex geology, particularly suitable for red Grenache. The richness of this Pignans terroir composed of clay-limestone soil, combined with a typically very sunny and windy Mediterranean climate, ideal for the organic labours in vineyard/ cellar and for southern grape varieties, in this case: Syrah – Grenache – Rolle – Cinsault – Mourvèdre (8%).

Typical Provençal pressed pink color, which provides tones halfway between white wine and rosé wine. The aromatics focus on white stone fruit, where the ripe peach stands out, although we can find echoes of citrus. In the mouth, the width of its entry stands out. The development shows roundness, richness and all the Provençal sun that raises the alcohol content to 13% vol. The agrumes notes arrive in the development, balancing the whole. Final with a trail of white spice that adds persistence.

The Chauvet family proposes a value of 15 euros that positions it in the mid-high range of Provençal rosés. In this price range we can find established ones such as Château d'Esclans, Château Paradis, Château de Selle or Château Roubine. The rich English, German and Belgian know these wines well, and enjoy them under the Mediterranean sun, escaping from their gray Nordic lives.
