Deinhard Riesling (Germany): the Mosel whites that have made the family proud for more than 200 years

Riesling is a typical cépage of Central Europe (Alsace, Germany, Austria, Somontano, Switzerland) but also is present in the New World (Argentina, Canada, New Zealand) and that has to do with his good resistance to the winter cold. The clusters are smalls, cylindrical, compact, with small grains and from green to gold colour. Its flavors range from lemon, peach to apricot, passion fruit or thorntree.


2013 vintage: Straw yellow colour definitely. Without oxygenate appears white stone fruit such as apricot on a bed of white flowers. Medium-high intensity nose after. Fruity entry with an amplitude due to some residual CO2 . The acidity is very well controlled and is balanced with a touch of sweetness that can classify this wine as medium-dry even. Thanks to the balance between acidity and freshness is achieved the body in this Riesling. End with 12º of alcohol and an aftertaste for the white stone fruit.


This wine is produced by Deinhard company, in Koblenz (Rhineland) and is one of the oldest wineries in Germany. This reference can be found in many countries, his price is very accesible because it is between 4 and 5 €. The pairing advises shellfish, grilled fish, grilled poultry or little force cheeses.
